- Are you working on an ANDS, EIF or NCRIS funded eResearch project?
- Do you want to share your eResearch success story, or hear other people's?
You’re invited to the Bright Ideas Over Breakfast ‘Christmas Special’. In December Bright Ideas Over Breakfast: Data From Deep Space, moves to a new venue: Ayers House.
To celebrate a successful year for South Australian eResearch this breakfast seminar will comprise a presentation from Gerry Ryder, from the Information Management and Technology division of CSIRO, followed by a champagne networking opportunity.
Gerry will provide an overview of CSIRO eResearch activities with a focus on managing astronomy data. She will discuss a current project involving data from the Parkes "Dish" which is intended to build capability to support the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP).
ASKAP is a next-generation radio telescope that will incorporate innovative receiver technologies and leading-edge ICT. ASKAP will be one of the world’s premier radio telescopes and will help to answer fundamental questions about our Universe. Gerry will also share her perspective on the potential for eResearch to transform Australian research across all disciplines.
Join us at Ayers House on 9 December 2010 at 7.45am and celebrate your 2010 eResearch successes.
